Concern over plans for pig farm

Foulden, Mordington and Lamberton Community Council held its AGM where annual reports and accounts were given and approved.

The secretary reported that a new councillor for Lamberton, Tricia Lucas, has now joined. There are still two vacancies for councillors for Foulden for those interested.

The council is still looking for for a Playing Fields Manager. Anyone who can help should contact John Williams on 01289 386332. Chairman, Gregory Lauder-Frost, thanked all present for their efforts and support over the past year.

Concerns have been expressed about the development of a pig farm at Lamberton Holdings and SBC are monitoring the saga of the pigeon lofts at Lamberton. Two wind turbines at Foulden Hill, which were objected to, have been approved by SBC. The council has also objected to an application for a 300 feet high wind turbine at Chester Bank.
