The Royal Automobile Club, in partnership with the Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation, is re-creating the Thousand Mile Trial, which was first run in 1900, from July 12-19.

This epic classic car rally, with an entry of 80 pre-1940 cars, will visit Berwickshire on day four of the event.

The route will take them on a scenic trip through the lands of the legendary F1 driver Jim Clark, before reaching an overnight halt at Slaley Hall in Hexham.
