Changes to housing plan at Gavinton

Gavinton, Fogo and Polwarth Communuity Council has been considering changes made to a planning applicatiion for 54 houses at West Gavinton.

Members heard that the number of affordable units is down down from 14 to seven and there are also detail changes to parking and garden sizes.

It was also noted that alterations to the sub-standard junction of the feeder road for Gavinton and the A6105 is to be resolved.

SEPA is requesting modification to the SUDs involving roof drainage into garden soakaways and porous driveways and parking areas.

Community council chairman John Marjoribanks pointed out that a very careful watch woulf have to be kept on all changes, and a public meeting convened at the consultation stage.

There were no objections to plans for alterations to Whinkerstones Farm Cottage, Charterhall.
