Young mum fighting for life after crash

A WOMAN originally from Duns is in hospital fighting for her life after being involved in a fatal car accident in Edinburgh on Sunday which killed her boyfriend.

Twenty six year old Christina Vibert and 22 year old Ross Graham, who welcomed a baby daughter into the world just over a month ago, were travelling in their Honda CRX when they collided with a lorry at the Clovenstone roundabout on the city’s Wester Hailes Road.

Ross succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene, while Christina who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where she is being treated for serious injuries.

Police closed the road for around five hours while they conducted their investigation and officers are keen to hear from motorists or other members of the public who can assist with their enquiries.

Road Policing Sergeant Andy Gibb said: “We continue to investigate the full circumstances surrounding this collision, which, tragically, resulted in the death of a young man.

“Road users who were in the area of the Clovenstone Roundabout at around 1.30pm on Sunday are asked to come forward if they have information that can help us establish why this incident occurred.”

Those with information can contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 311.
