Witnesses sought after blaze destroys straw bales

POLICE are appealing for information following a fire in a field just off the A697 on Sunday morning.

At 7.10am, a number of straw bales were seen to be alight within a field approximately three miles north of Greenlaw.

Police and Fire Service attended however all the bales had been destroyed by fire before their arrival.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or for anyone n with information to contact them via Duns Police Station at the earliest opportunity.
