Members of the public will have the chance to view proposals for a £25 million wind farm at Rumbletonrig, west of Greenlaw, at two days of open exhibitions starting tomorrow.

The public exhibitions will take place on Friday (between 3pm and 8pm) and Saturday (between 10am and 1pm) at the Fairbairn Hall in Greenlaw.

As well as a series of display boards providing details about the proposal, members of the project team will be available to discuss the scheme, answer questions and receive feedback.

If approved, the development will comprise nine turbines, with an installed capacity of around 22.5 megawatts. The turbines would have a height to blade tip of up to 100 metres.

Options for community benefit are being explored, including the potential to provide the community with a stake in the wind farm, and views on this are being sought at the exhibition.
