Ten stand for election at Cockburnspath

COCKBURNSPATH Community Council have announced that 10 nominations have been received for membership of the Community Council.

An election will therefore take place to determine eight elected members. The election will take place on Tuesday, February 5, between 5-7pm in Cockburnspath Village Hall.

Standing are: David Arnott, Pauline Hood, Alan (Griz) Gribben, Kathleen (Kate) Tulloch, Kevin Craig, Beverly Crow, Jean Fairbairn, Angela Brading, Jean Virtue and James (Jim) Black.

All members of the public on the electoral register for Cockburnspath are eligible to vote in the elections to form a new community council, which will subsequently meet on Wednesday, February 13, in the Primary School, Cockburnspath, at 7pm when office bearers will be elected.
