Paxton House looking for volunteers

THERE’S just two weeks to go before Paxton House opens its doors in the hope of attracting some new volunteers into its fold.

The famous mansion will host a Volunteering Opportunities day on Saturday, February 18 from 11am when a wide range of roles will be up for grabs including: room stewards; gardeners and walk leaders.

In addition, there will also be the opportunity for people to work on Paxton House’s famous costume collection or be involved in marketing and events, helping spread the word by distributing leaflets and posters or promoting events in period costume and education- with volunteers needed for both indoor and outdoor activities, including role play, history and arts and crafts.

Being part of the team at Paxton House will give you the opportunity to meet new people; improve your job prospects; enhance your CV and develop new skills.

Coffee and biscuits will be served at the volunteering event and anyone that goes along can meet staff and existing volunteers.
