Copies of the first ever compact edition of The Berwickshire News are selling fast.

The newly-designed papers, is a bumper read with over 96 pages and copies have been selling fast at newsagents and supermarkets.

Editor Phil Johnson said: “We are delighted with the feedback we have received so far. Our readers have been asking for a smaller size, more stories and more pictures - and that is what we’ve delivered.

“I’d like to thank all out readers, contributors and advertisers for their support.”
