IF the idea of getting the sponge and bucket out yourself sounds too much like hard work you may want to get yourself along to Eyemouth fire station on Saturday.

Pupils at Eyemouth High School, with the help of firefighters based at the station, have organised a fundraising carwash.

The money collected will go towards the pupil’s trip to Peru in 2013, where they will be working in conjunction with The Vine Trust to support and help with the provision of homes for street children.

The Carwash will take place between 9.30am and 12.30pm. There is no set price, but all donations will be very gratefully accepted.

Pupils from Eyemouth will be joining their peers from Berwickshire and Earlston High for the South America trip next year, following in the footsteps of pupils from all three schools who have made the visit.
