THE Rotary Club of Duns held their annual Primary School Quiz on Friday which was kindly hosted by Duns Primary School.

The Quiz took the form of four questions in each of eight categories. The categories were Language and Literacy, Maths and Numeracy, Health and Well Being, Expressive Arts, Science, Technology, Social Studies and RME and Pot Luck.

The contest was keenly fought with Chirnside taking an early lead.

However, both Duns and Coldstream fought back and overtook Chirnside. Duns then had the advantage and surged ahead to become a clear winner.

Rotarian John Marjoribanks presented Duns Primary School with the winners cup and their prize of a £50 book token.

The school will now go forward to the next round of the Rotary District Primary School Quiz.

The Rotary Club of Duns would like to thank the schools for their participation and Duns Primary School for hosting the event.
