The competition has six categories in both the Projected Digital Image and the Print sections and Phil’s image was voted best in the PDI Nature category.

It was then judged against the other five PDI category winners and was judged to be the best overall.

In the Print section an overall winner was also judged then the two section winners were judged against each other and Phil’s image was selected as the overall Champion image.

Phil also took third place in the I Print Nature category with his image ‘Singing Meadow Pipit’ and he also had six more images which were ‘commended’.

Phil is a member of Duns Camera Club which meets every Tuesday evening in the Southfield Centre in Duns and his winning image was photographed while walking his springer spaniel Ollie along the banks of the River Whiteadder. The Meadow Pipit photo was taken in the Lammermuir Hills.
