A TEAM of BHA staff and contractors are sprouting some extra facial hair this month to raise funds and awareness of men’s health issues.

They are taking part in Movember, a worldwide campaign where men are encouraged to bring back the moustache to help raise awareness of Prostate and Testicular cancer.

The Movember charity has raised over £184m in the UK since its inception in 2003 after it began in Melbourne, Australia.

“We know it’s not the best time of year to be asking people for donations but it really doesn’t matter how much you donate. Even a penny will go towards a bigger and better total to help the charities we support” says Colin Turner, the BHA Mo Bros Team Captain.

“You can show your support by donating at any BHA or Seton Care office or online at http://mobro.co/bhamobros.”

Since its humble beginnings in Melbourne, Movember has grown to become a truly global movement inspiring more than 1.9 Million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas-a woman dedicated to supporting the growing of the moustache- to participate with formal campaigns in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, the UK, South Africa, Ireland, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Belgium and the Czech Republic.

In addition, Movember is aware of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas supporting the campaign and men’s health causes across the globe, from Russia to Dubai, Hong Kong to Antarctica, Rio de Janiero to Mumbai.
