Berwickshire Rainbows celebrate 25th anniversary at Duns primary

RAINBOW Guides from all over Berwickshire met at Duns Primary School recently for the Rainnbow movement’s 25th birthday party celebrations.

The Rainbow section of the Girlguiding movement has been popular with girls aged five to seven who have been meeting weekly at venues all over the county for the many years, prior to them joining the Brownies, and later moving on to the Guides.

During their weekly meetings they follow a programme incorporating ‘look, learn, laugh and love, with the guiders making the meetings lots of fun with games, singing and crafts.

During their birthday party the Rainbows made presents, sang songs and enjoyed refreshments and their were so many of them present, from Earlston in the west to Eyemouth in the east of the area that two huge birthday cakes were needed, decorated by Rainbow Guider, Rachel Bromley.
