Duns LJ Dance Academy stage 'A Night at the Movies' production in aid of Cancer Research at Berwickshire High School.

There were some very proud mums, dads and grandparents last Sunday when some of the area’s budding young dancers took to the stage for charity.

‘A Night at the Movies’ was the the first production from the youngsters of the LJ Dance Academy in Duns and the evening was in aid of Cancer Research.

A series of dances were performed by 64 members of the school who were inspired by music and songs from films both past and present.

The musical theatre group performed an extract from ‘Annie’, other numbers included tapping penguins from ‘Happy Feet’, to a energetic jazz dance to ‘Hairspray’ and a tutu menagerie dancing to ‘Circle of Life’ to name but a few!!

The children performed to a packed audience of friends and family at The Berwickshire High School and a fantastic evening enjoyed by all.

Many thanks go to all who took part including everyone behind the scenes.
