Lancia Stratos Club set to visit Duns as part of tour

The Stratos still draws the crowds whenever it competes at historic motor sport events.

Members of the Lancia Stratos Enthusiasts Club are planning to visit the Jim Clark Room in Duns during their tour of Scotland next month.

From May 22-25, a group of eight Lancia Stratos Replicas will be touring Scotland and visiting several historic sites and plan to visit the Jim Clark Room in Duns around 11am on Monday, May 25.

The legendary Lancia Stratos HF was without a doubt the most spectacular and successful rally car of the 1970s.

With its thrilling lines and uncompromising design for rally use, the Stratos not only single-handedly rewrote the history of rallying, it won a permanent place in the hearts of its countless fans with its dramatic performance and its stunning, timeless design.

Each year a ‘hardcore’ of Stratos drivers undertake a five day tour in locations all over the UK and Europe and although members are enthusiastic to share their passion for cars, they are always pleased (yet respectful) of an opportunity to display their cars particularly to the benefit of other automotive enthusiasts.

The club members hope to park their vehicles in formation outside the Jim Clark Room and take photographs and it is sure to be a big draw for local rallying fans in and around Duns.
