Eastern Borders Inner Wheel members enjoyed a sponsored walk along the Berwickshire coast’s proposed Smugglers Trail to Eyemouth, on June 14, and in doing so raised £900 for Berwickshire Wheels.

The ladies of Eastern Borders Inner Wheel meet on the second Thursday of the month in the Black Bull Hotel, Duns; members working together making new friends and having fun while at the same time helping the vulnerable, young people and the elderly - both at home and in the developing countries.

On this occasion it was Berwickshire Wheels who benefited from the ladies’ efforts. The Duns based organisation provide easily accessible transport for residents of Berwickshire in their fleet of five vehicles, to allow social and family activity for those who have general mobility problems or use a wheelchair.

Eastern Borders Inner Wheel would like to thank the walkers and sponsors for their generous support. Pictured are members of Eastern Borders Inner Wheel who presented the cheque to Brian Sweeney, chairman of Berwickshire Wheels.
