ANY fans of the Bard will want to get themselves along to Coldingham Hall next Friday, October 19, as the Borders Youth Theatre bring not one but two of his plays to Berwickshire.

The talented cast, including 13 year old Leonie Findlay from Gordon and 14 year old Ewan Steady from Duns, are currently touring ‘A Tale of Two Shakespeares’, with their run beginning with three shows at Earlston High School at the weekend.

The production features two abridged Shakespeare plays: the much-loved legend of ‘Macbeth’ (although actors never dare to actually say its name!) directed by Raymond Short, and the lesser known farcical tale of ‘Cymbeline’ directed by Oliver Bisset.

The shortened versions of William Shakespeare’s classics promise all the twists, turns, murder and mayhem of the originals. They offer those already mesmerised by the great Bard another opportunity to indulge their senses but for those yet to experience Shakespeare the production extends the perfect bite-sized intro.

Tockets costing £7 and £4 are available on the door or from Coldingham Post Office.
