East Lothian community groups are being invited to apply for grants of between £1500 and £3000 for environmental community projects.

Central Scotland Green Network’s (CSGN) Community Projects Fund, supported by Forestry Commission Scotland, has £60,000 available to support small-scale work at a grass-roots level.

Last year, 34 environmental community projects received a share of over £60,000, including one in the East Lothian. Sustaining Dunbar was awarded £2,000 to produce a leaflet and install signage to raise the profile of the Dunbar Growing Trail which highlights the various community gardens and food growing projects in Dunbar.

The deadline for applications is October 28, 2013 and work completed by March 2014. Forms can be downloaded at www.centralscotlandgreennetwork.org.
