A COLDSTREAM man has been appointed the new chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses in the Scottish Borders.
Speaking about his new appointment, Graham Bell, managing director of Graham Bell Associates Ltd said: “I welcome the challenge of leading the 700 small business members in the Scottish Borders in what are undoubtedly difficult times.
“The committee and I will be moving events all around the Borders, covering matters of interest to different business sectors, different localities, but always trying to create entertaining sessions for our members to enhance their businesses’ prospects of success. I am delighted by the enthusiasm of members already shown to work together for the improvement of business conditions in the Borders.
“We will also be expressing our views candidly to members of all political parties at all levels of government to get what is best for business clear in their minds, and to encourage them to support Border businesses and their ability to keep people in work, whenever they can.”
