MEMBERS of the public will be able to view plans for the upgrading of the facilities at Gavinton Playingfield at a public meeting to be held in Gavinton village hall next week.
Duns Amateur Football Club are staging the open night on Thursday, January 27, from 6.30-8.30pm, when members of the public are invited along to see the plans which have now been submitted with Scottish Borders Council’s planning department.
The club intend to extend and upgrade the changing facilities which will include changing rooms, showers, toilets, referee’s room, kitchen, common room for use by the local community and disabled access.
With regard to the actual pitches some upgrading work in planned including work to level one of the pitches and provide a 3G surfaced all-weather training area.
All plans will be available for viewing and members of the club will be on hand to discuss the club’s development plan for the future.
It is hoped to attract grant funding from various sources to help with the proposed work.
The club currently has several junior teams and a senior team and has found it neccessary to expand its facilities.
All are invited to the open night.
