Staff at the Pearsons of Duns Garden Centre are celebrating after being awarded a Four Star Quality Assurance ranking by VisitScotland.

The family run garden centre are proud to have recently been awarded the ranking which has been based on the facilities and services that the business offers its many visitors.

It is a great achievement for such a small local garden centre.

Last year VisitScotland awarded Pearsons a three star ranking in the tourist destination category, which was a great achievement but the company wanted to go the extra mile and do better.

Over the last year changes have been made in order to improve the business for the visitors.

The layout of the shop has become more visitor friendly, new ranges have been added and the centre’s great prices have been maintained, along with the revamp of the Baytree Cafe.

The work and development of the garden centre have really paid off.

Garry Pearson, garden centre manager, said: What a great achievement by all the staff! I’m proud of the hard work everyone’s put in over the past few years, a big well done to all involved.

“With the hard work from all staff, Pearsons of Duns Garden Centre and Baytree Cafe have become a great destination for people to visit.
