St Abbs Wool Festival made a triumphant return to the St Ebba Centre and St Abbs Visitor Centre at the end of October.

Knitters, wool merchants and amateur enthusiasts all enjoyed the day, and many people had taken up the offer of yarn, to knit representations of the abundant flora and fauna to be found along the St Abbs and Berwickshire coast.

Some of their efforts can be seen in our pictures.

Special guests amongst the knitters, spinning wheel merchants and Angora goat owners was David Swinton of the British Wool Marketing Board, who offered to arrange visits to the sorting depot at Galashiels if anybody wanted to see more about how wool is produced.
