On Saturday June 15 employees from Farne Salmon in Duns together with a number of their suppliers held a charity golf match in aid of Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) at Monksford Golf Course. The Farne team mucked in raising support for this worthwhile cause and a number of suppliers generously donated bottles of wine for raffles, goodie bags etc.

Each golfer paid to enter with all monies raised going directly to CHAS. Each hole was sponsored by a Farne Supplier which all helped raise the funds to the fantastic amount of £2,000!

CHAS were presented with their cheque for £2,000 on Monday, July 1 and Craig Walker, CEO of Farne Salmon thanked all of the staff and suppliers for their contribution to making this day such a success both for the participants and for CHAS. CHAS Fundraiser, Kirsten Dugan, said “The support of Farne Salmon and Trout Ltd has been fantastic and we’re delighted they have raised £2,000. We need to raise £8 million this year to run Scotland’s only children’s hospice services, so we really do appreciate the effort of everyone involved.”
