Angus club holds winter meeting

THE Border Aberdeen Angus Club is hosting an ‘open’ Winter Meeting at The Lodge, Carfraemill, Lauder, on Wednesday, January 16, at 7.30pm.

The subject of the meeting is ‘The Future of Beef’ and guest speakers include Stuart Ashworth from Quality Meat Scotland, Sandy Hay from the Bank of Scotland and Andrew Loftus from Morrisons Plc.

On Wednesday, January 23, the Border Angus club will host its ‘Spring Bull Walk’. The tour will commence at Threeburnford at 9am and further details regarding the timings, bulls and herd locations will be posted on www.borderangus.com

The Border Angus Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 20, at The Cross Keys Kelso, 7pm for 7.30pm.
