Last Wednesday members of the Flodden 1513 Club, Selkirk Ex-Standard Bearers’ Association, the 1514 Club of Hawick and one person from Jedburgh attended the Tweed Green and Branxton Memorials where the Scots fallen at Flodden were commemorated.

Wreaths were laid by the Coldstreamer, James Balmbro, and the Selkirk Standard Bearer. Banners were lowered by Standard Bearer Derek Balmbro and Rory Stewart of Jedburgh who was involved in the ‘Borderers’ Return’ project of 2013.

The toasts to James IV and Border Men Who Fell were expertly given by John Elliot and Ian Fallas of Lauder, respectively. Thanks to David and Michael Shepherd for erecting the banners and to Pipe Major Duncan Bell.
