The children of Eyemouth were well prepared for the wet weather over the bank holiday weekend.
They had spent the first week of the school holidays decorating umbrellas for an April Shower Parade on Saturday, April 7.
There were lots of colourful umbrellas and they were displayed beautifully as the children, led by current Eyemouth Herring Queen Rachel Lauder paraded through the town centre behind the Eyemouth pipeband so that everyone could appreciate their handiwork.
After the parade everyone returned to the TEDDA building where there was a tombola stall, face painting and cake and candy stall as well as tasty cream teas.
A representative from Park Resorts holiday park had the hard job of deciding which umbrellas should win the prizes, which were presented by the Herring Queen to Katie Clough, Ben Gillie, Halle Holmes and Joy Fisher.
The money raised at the event will be put to good use during Herring Queen Week which takes place on the July 7-14 and the committee would like to thank everyone who supported this event.
