LAST month pupils from Eyemouth Primary School went with their teachers and some parents to the Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant in the town, writes Simon Duke.

The trip was part of their class topic about China, as the children were learning about one of the nations competing in the upcoming Olympic Games.

The children got to try some delicious chicken and sweetcorn soup, beautiful spring rolls, super deep fried chicken and some amazing noodles. At the end of their feast, the pupils were given exciting fortune cookies.

The pupils said: “Jade Garden is the best Chinese restaurant in the world!

“The food is super yummy and the decorations are beautiful!”

The pupils and teachers would like to express thanks to Jade Garden for their generous hospitality and for providing an exciting learning opportunity.
