More than 100 people attended the opening of the Flodden 1513 Ecomuseum exhibition at Berwick Museum and Art Gallery last week.

Alistair Bowden, the project’s co-ordinator, said: “It was tremendous to see so many people come along to the exhibition.

“It goes without saying that the success of this project is down to the many people who volunteered and contributed in so many ways to uncover and share what has been discovered about the Battle of Flodden and its aftermath.”

The exhibition highlighted what has been achieved by the local community and many of the finds unearthed during the Flodden 1513 Ecomuseum’s cross-border community archaeology project.

Discoveries made by the documentary research volunteers are displayed in the exhibition, on until Monday, August 29, at Berwick, then moving to Coldstream Museum from Friday, September 9, toMonday, October 31.

Hundreds of volunteers have been involved in the project, and thousands of people of all ages have discovered more about Flodden and the local history and archaeology showing just how important it is to those on both sides of the border.
