UK Dyslexia Awareness week is from November 3-9 and to mark this Dyslexia Scotland is holding a special event in the Borders.
They will give presentations at The Cross Keys Hotel, in Kelso, from 7-9pm on Thursday, November 6.
Cathy Magee, chief executive of Dyslexia Scotland will provide an overview of Dyslexia Scotland’s work, with a particular focus of recent and planned developments in education.
Roger Barrow, principal educational psychologist, Scottish Borders Council, will provide an update on Scottish Borders Council’s draft Dyslexia Policy and procedures for assessing, identifying and supporting the needs of children and young people with dyslexia.
There will be an opportunity for everyone to take part in small discussions led by facilitators on the issues raised in both presentations.
