Police are appealing for information to help trace a man who has gone missing in Duns

Richard Easton is believed to have left his home in Knock Cottage at around 2.50pm yesterday (Wednesday) and has not been seen or heard from since.

The 39-year-old took his silver Volvo S40 with him and may have travelled into the Dumfries and Galloway area, or towards South Lanarkshire.

Concern is now growing for Richard’s safety and officers are keen to speak with anyone who can help establish his whereabouts.

He is described as white, 6ft tall with a slim build, fair complexion, short brown hair that is greying, blue eyes and glasses.

There is currently no description of his clothing.

Inspector Brian MacFarlane said: “It’s around 24 hours since anyone has heard from Richard and as such we are keen to locate him as soon as possible.

“Anyone who has seen or heard from him in this time, or can help officers trace him is asked to contact police immediately.

“Similarly, Richard is also asked to come forward to police, family or friends and let someone know that he’s safe and well.”

Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101.
