THE Duns ‘Erection Section’, the volunteers responsible for ensuring Duns has an excellent display of festive lighting, have been working flat out over the weekend.
The boys in the band shifted more than 120 tons of snow from the Market Square and put the Christmas tree up.
Andrew Lester of Countdown 200, told the Berwickshire News: “We are now planning to have the switch-on by the Wynsome Mayde April-Lea Taylor this Saturday (December 11) at 6.30pm. We cannot run the Christmas Fayre as we do not have a Road Closure or a Traders Licence for that day but there will be music and mulled wine with some charity stalls.
“Hopefully a good crowd will turnout for this festive occasion.”
