About 12.40am on Saturday, June 2, police noticed a local man age 44 shouting and swearing, and challenging others to fight in Market Square, Duns.
He was warned regarding his behaviour, but refused to desist.
He was then arrested, and taken to Duns Police Station where he was charged with committing a breach of the peace, and issued with a fixed penalty fine.
And less than half an hour later police were called to another disturbance in Market Square.
This resulted in two 16 year olds also being charged with committing a breach of the peace and being issued with a fixed penalty fine at the police station.
