The very first Dunbar, Arts, Crafts and Produce Market (DAC&PM), held as part of the Dunbar Christmas Lights switch on in December 2010, was the start of a brand new initiative to reacquaint locals and visitors alike with their town centre and showcase a wide range of local produce.
The market was a great success and DAC&PM have been invited to take part in this year’s Christmas lights switch on in the town, which takes place on Sunday, November 27.
Dunbar town centre has so much to be proud of. Not only is it of historical importance, with stunning architecture but it also has a high street with many independent retailers who pride themselves on their quality of products, together with excellent personal service.
Dunbar Arts, Crafts and Produce Market, working with local retailers, bring an additional attraction to the high street by providing a selection of locally sourced crafts and produce, all of which are handmade and crafted by specialists, who take exceptional pride in their trade.
In addition to the variety of stalls, all dressed up in their festive lights, many of the Dunbar retail outlets will also be open adding to the wide range of goods and personal service on offer.
The market will open for business at 3pm and close at 7pm.
It’s a vibrant and creative event, with an attractive combination of stalls, shops and street entertainment, so don’t forget to put this year’s Christmas Street Market, will be held on Sunday, November 27, from 3pm- 7pm, in your diary.
A fun and festive Christmas market, why not come along and buy some unique and unusual presents for friends and family, or treat yourself to some Christmas goodies!
The switch-on of the lights is scheduled for 6.30pm on Sunday night.
There will be children’s entertainment organised by East Lothian Museums Service and choral performances by Dunbar Sings and Dunbar Grammar school.
