The work of two Berwickshire groups has received formal recognition from environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful.

Lauder in Bloom and the Allanton Enhancement Group were presented with the It’s Your Neighbourhood accolade by Ann Loughrey, trustee and executive officer of the ScottishPower Foundation, at an awards ceremony in Stirling’s Albert Halls this week.

Celebrating the hard work of local groups making environmental improvements, It’s Your Neighbourhood provides support and recognition to communities that are helping to clean up and ‘green up’ community spaces. The campaign is run by Keep Scotland Beautiful, and was supported in 2015 by the ScottishPower Foundation.

The efforts of almost 150 groups were recognised at the 2015 Beautiful Scotland and It’s Your Neighbourhood Seminar, an increase of more than 20 on the previous year.
