Eyemouth Town Hall could be brought back to life and you can contribute to the plans by going along to a community consultation session on Monday, April 18, at the Hippodrome, 10am to 12 noon.
Eyemouth & District Community Trust is looking at developing the derelict hall into a social eco innovation centre to increase skills, opportunities and training for people, increase tourism, encourage social enterprise and to offer serviced office accommodation for new and developing business.
A Big Lottery application is being progressed, architects have been appointed to survey the hall, burgh chambers and property above and an enterprise company is working on a sustainable business plan, marketing strategy and community consultation.
The Big Lottery Investing in Communities final stage 2 application needs to be completed by the end of August when the fund closes.
If you want to contribute to the town hall plans but are unable to attend the community consultation process you can complete the online survey: http://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Eyemouth _Town_Hall
