Coldstream RBLS premises get a facelift

A refurbishment programme has started on the Royal British Legion Scotland building at Coldstream after they received a £30,000 grant from the Armed Forces Covenant community grant scheme.

The project includes the replacement of the seating, carpets, table and chairs in the main hall redecoration, new windows and a replacement ramp at the main entrance, plus a chair lift and disabled toilet. Project manager is Rob Bell(Pipe Major Retd).

Vice chair of the Coldstream branch of RBLS, John Greenwell said: “The amount of work that has to be done is not to be under-estimated, so if any of our members that are retired tradesman can help out please contact Rob Bell.”
