Chirnside Chasers held a 24-hour relay run over the weekend in aid of Eve olution who raise money for Ward 7 of the Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital.

The event started at 2pm on Saturday round a 10 mile route with a support bus following the runners at all times. There were many
helpers at Allanton Village Hall making cups of tea and bacon rolls to keep everyone fuelled and hydrated.

Runners between the ages of nine and 60, from the host club and other clubs ran brilliantly through out the 24 hours and credit must go to all those who ran the graveyard shift running through the night and the early hours of Sunday morning.

The event has raised £2,600 for Eve olution which is a magnificent amount.

Credit must go to Leeann and Stevie Ross who organised the event which went seamlessly and to Robertsons of Duns who supplied the buses for the support of the runners.

Thanks also to Border Eggs who sponsored the event, providing T-shirts for all the runners and helpers, and The Allanton Inn for the food and refreshments after the event.

The event was a great success and a credit to the club.
