Lewis Wetton, Michael Liddington and Lewis Tharme, P7s at Duns Primary School, set off on a marathon bike ride to raise money for Children in Need on Saturday, November 9.
The 26 mile route started at the top of Bridge End Road in Duns and took them down towards Wedderburn Castle, through Sinclairshill and on towards Paxton. With a strong headwind, they then peddled from Paxton towards Swinton and rejoined the Berwick road, Sinclairshill and up to the Bridge End Road stretch. The final leg was a gruelling long uphill section - all three stood up on their pedals and powered to the top!
Afterwards Lewis Wetton said; “I was tired and very hot!! But it was really good fun! I am happy that we have been able to raise so much money and I definitely plan to do something again for Children in Need next year”.
Last year Lewis Wetton and Michael, and another friend, raised just over £300 for Children in Need. This year they have raised a massive £778.50 and would like to thank everyone who donated. To see photos, or donate visit Justgiving page: http://www.justgiving.com/Lewis-Michael-Lewis.
