Katie Massie (left) and Judith Anderson of Duns recently completed a 109 mile cycle from Perth to Duns to raise over £800 for ‘Cash for Kids’.

Their journey started on a beautiful late September morning with early climbs over the Perthshire Hills as they headed towards the Forth Road Bridge. They followed the coastline from Musselburgh to Cockburnspath, staying off the A1, returning via Ecclaw - a fair climb for tired legs. Finally at around 5pm the ‘Welcome to Duns’ sign appeared and they free-wheeled to the town’s Mercat Cross, where friends, family and champagne were waiting.

Katie and Judith want to thank the back-up crew, sponsors, and John Nisbet for the borrowed bike.
