There is just two weeks to go for companies to enter the race to find the most environmentally-aware firms in the Borders.
Businesses are being urged to enter the 2012 Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland (VIBES) Awards before the July 6 deadline and gain recognition for their sustainable achievements.
The leading environmental awards scheme is now in its 13th year. It aims to recognise businesses of all sizes and sectors employing environmental best practice in their day-to-day activity to cut down on resource use, increase sustainability, improve reputation and benefit the company’s bottom-line.
Previous winners and finalists of the free to enter awards have included the local company Mainetti which was a finalist in the Changing Behaviour category in 2011.
All shortlisted entries for the VIBES Awards will be offered free support from ECCI. This support will be available for a minimum of half a day, and a maximum of three days, within six months of the VIBES Award ceremony.
