Graham Walker and Louise Aitken-Walker, the owners of Duns Service Station, will be celebrating their 25th year in business in 2013.
Graham and Louise have gradually developed the business during their time in Duns, drawing on many years’ experience in the motor industry.
They have successfully encouraged many local customers to regularly take advantage of all elements of their business, recognising that maintaining high standards such as those recently rewarded by Jet is the main reason for their longevity and success.
Graham said: “We won the regional award for Scotland and were told that we’d go through to the overall national final. We didn’t think we’d have a chance but the staff did a brilliant job and we won it outright!
“Louise and I are delighted that our team have been presented with this award and we hope it reflects our goal of customer satisfaction.”
Graham thanked customers for their support over the years. “Coming up to our 25th anniversary we feel giving a reliable service and offering competitive prices, that Jet allow us to do, is vital,” he said.
“We never forget that the most important ingredient to any business is of course the customer and we thank all of ours very much for their support.
“We’re all really pleasedto win the Aim4Success award. Getting an award like this puts Duns on the map, and shows that good, old fashioned service is still valued.
“I’m chuffed to bits for everyone who works here.”
Jet regional sales manager Guy Pulham added: “Excellent standards and service are vital to guarantee a satisfying customer experience and keep ahead of the competition.
“All six of our regional winners are a real credit to the Jet brand and we’re delighted to be able to recognise and reward their commitment to delivering incredibly high standards.”
