AFTER more than 150 years based in Ayton, Doughtys WS has moved to larger premises in Eyemouth in Church Street, Eyemouth (opposite the chemist).
Doughtys WS was founded in the early 1840s and in recent years Sheila Stoddart, daughter of the former Senior Partner Grahame Stoddart, has managed the firm successfully.
As part of Doughtys’ expansion plans, the firm is now centralised in Eyemouth where, thanks to more modern premises and fully updated facilities, the firm can now offer a wider and better service to its clients. Doughtys WS is also joined by Mrs Marina Kerr, an experienced solicitor living in Eyemouth, who can offer immediate assistance while expanding the services offered by Doughtys.
A spokesman for the firm said: “We wish to reassure all our clients, both new and more established, that throughout our modernisation and expansion, the high quality, personal service that is the hallmark of Doughtys WS will continue undiminished.
“One of the main advantages of our relocation is that our new offices provide the opportunity for extended interviews where all your requirements can be discussed in strictest confidence.”
Finally, despite the changes to Doughtys, the Post Office in Ayton will open as usual.
