Coffee connoisseurs in Berwick now have the chance to savour the taste of real hand-made coffee from Costa.
Pupils from Class 2 at Holy Trinity First School in Berwick helped out with its official opening yesterday afternoon.
The store is run by a specialist team of Costa Baristas - the Italian name for coffee expert. The six new recruits, all of whom live in or around the Berwick area, will be there to welcome each and every customer. Their training ensures that each Barista lives up to the high Costa standard and gives them the opportunity to perfect their skills and create the perfect coffee.
Laura, manager of the new Costa Berwick store, said: “Consumers are becoming increasingly more discerning about their coffee, and the purity of its taste - in much the same way as a wine buff would select a glass of wine in a restaurant. As a consequence, the popularity of Costa begins to grow.
The new store, formerly a Dorothy Perkins fashion shop, seats around 60 customers.
