THE seventh annual East Lothian Food and Drinks Awards dinner was held at the Macdonald Marine Hotel in North Berwick and Dunbar businesses scooped no fewer than six top awards.

The best kept secret is out and what those already living in the Dunbar area know has now been publically recognised. Dunbar is a great place to eat, shop and visit and no fewer than six top quality food and drink outlets won awards and were recognised as being the best in their particular category.

Being situated in the ‘bread basket of Scotland’ Dunbar ensures a ready supply of locally produced produce and each of the winning teams from Dunbar all pride themselves on sourcing, where possible locally grown ingredients. All are passionate food lovers who share their knowledge with people who want to experience the joy of locally sourced, affordable and seasonal food, cooked from scratch.

The Rocks and The Royal Mackintosh Hotel, were joint second in the Best Hotel Meal category while The Creel Restaurant was winner in the Best Restaurant Meal category and The Food Hamper, was voted the Best Café .

Thistly Cross Whisky Cider was winner in the most innovation new product category and runner-up was Belhaven Fruit Farm, for their IceDelight.
