PNE WIND UK has submitted a planning application to Scottish Borders Council for Brunta Hill Wind Farm.
The development comprises 10 wind turbines. Each turbine will be rated at 2.3MW and have a maximum blade tip height of 126.5m with an installed capacity of 23 Megawatts, enough to power 13,400 homes. The proposed project is located on land north-west of Westruther in the Scottish Borders.
Gilbert Stevenson, Brunta Hill project manager, said: “PNE have listened to the views of the local community and worked hard to design a scheme that takes their views into account. We believe that Brunta Hill is a low impact wind farm, sensitively designed and appropriately sized for this location.”
PNE WIND UK has engaged with key stakeholders and has held a number of public exhibitions to gather the views of the local community and interested parties on the proposal.
