Prostate Cancer UK won Best Public Affairs Campaign for its successful campaign to get the life-enhancing and life-prolonging prostate cancer drug, abiraterone, approved on NHS Scotland. The charity has highlighted the work of Borders Prostate Cancer Support Group and its members, who lobbied their MSPs on the matter, as being instrumental to this success.

The Borders Prostate Cancer Support Group meets on the first Wednesday of each month (except January and August) at 7pm in the Tryst, Chaplaincy Centre, Borders General Hospital.
