Borders flood risk plans explained

Four exhibitions are taking place across the region this month to advise members of the public about the flood risk plans in place to protect communities.

Draft strategies developed by Scottish Environment Protection Agency, and Flood Risk Management draft plans developed by local authorities for the Tweed, Solway and Forth Estuary Local Plan Districts, aim to reduce flood risk.

Consultation sessions are taking place in Hawick, Peebles, Galashiels and Duns - the Duns event is in the Council Chamber, Newtown Street, on Thursday, May 14, 11am to 7pm.
