Blue is the colour as Jim gets shirty for Cancer Cabs

AS a self-confessed Celtic fanatic, Jim Mcgowan has mixed feelings about Rangers visiting third division Berwick next month.

But he may be forced to wear the ’Gers blue shirt himself first, as part of his fundraising day in aid of Berwick and District Cancer Cabs.

His friends and colleagues, “even, especially the Celtic fans” have been donating in order to get Jim looking blue for the day.

Jim betting his shirt is just part of the day’s fun at the First and Last pub, Burnmouth, on Sunday, July 29.

There will be acoustic performances, a DJ and a set by Jim’s band, We Were Kings, as well as a raffle.

“I help Cancer Cabs every year,” said Jim. “Their people work tirelessly, and I took the charity to my heart.

“Plus, it’s local as well. They help the people who you see when you’re on the street.

Entry to the event (2pm-8pm) will be by a small donation.
