Better Borders broadband services

An increase in Borderers registering an interest in better broadband services has been welcomed by local MP Michael Moore.

From mid-March to mid-April, there were 604 new registrants on the South of Scotland Alliance website (the Dumfries and Galloway Council, Scottish Borders Council and Scottish Enterprise broadband partnership) and from mid-April to mid May, there were 1313 new registrants.

Mr Moore said:“With the millions of pounds of investment in broadband infrastructure coming to Scotland, it is absolutely vital that we get the best possible deal for the Borders.

“There are still thousands of Borderers who haven’t registered and it’s not too late!”
